International superstar Ladyhawke returns to her hometown Masterton to perform at Masterton's Summer Concert.
Ladyhawke has made international headlines when her self-titled debut album peaked at No. 16 on the U.K. album charts and No. 1 in Australia and New Zealand’s album charts in 2008. It also won Australia’s ARIA music awards for Best Breakthrough album and Best Breakthrough Single and she also took home six New Zealand Music Awards, including Single of the Year for My Delirium and was nominated for The Brits’ much coveted Best International Artist. She has subsequently released two more albums, Anxiety and Wild Things and is expected to play tracks from all three albums at February’s concert.
Wairarapa indie band LA Woman will open for Ladyhawke and perform their crowd pleasing single “Hurricane Love” which has over 300,000 plays on Spotify. Masterton Intermediate School band Groundshaker who finished second in the Wellington Battle of the Bands competition, will warm up the crowd, in what will undeniably be their biggest gig to date.
Gate Sales will be available on the night.
