Event Date:
Monday, 5 January 2015 to Saturday, 31 January 2015
cnr Queen and Church Street
This is a unique opportunity for young artists aged 12-24 years who reside in the Wairarapa. We have the chance to paint murals right in the centre of Masterton thanks to the newly launched - Funk up M-town - Youth Mural Project.
Applications are available online at!!
It is for up to 14 youth artists to paint 2 - 3 panels which make up the plywood wall on the corner of Queen Street and Church Street. The boards will remain for a minimum of one year. All materials will be supplied by Connecting Communities Wairarapa and artists will receive a koha for their time. You will have one week to complete your panel and will be filmed using a time lapse camera to capture the awesome journey from start to finish!
For further information you can contact Sarah or Glenda on 06 378 8900.
This project is funded by the Ministry of Youth Development and supported by Masterton District Council, Youth Team Connecting Communities and the Wairarapa Youth Council.
